Coconut incense is inspired by the coconut palm, a plant deeply rooted in the tropical landscapes of Southeast Asia. While coconut itself is not traditionally a primary incense material, its warm, creamy aroma has been incorporated into modern incense blends using coconut oil, extracts, and complementary fragrances. Historically, the coconut tree has been valued in Thailand for its versatility—providing food, oil, fiber, and materials for daily life—making it a symbol of sustenance and resilience.

In Thai culture, coconut-scented incense is more commonly associated with relaxation and hospitality than with formal religious rituals. Its comforting, slightly sweet scent is often used in homes, spas, and wellness settings to create a soothing, tropical atmosphere. It may also be burned during informal offerings or personal moments of reflection. Coconut incense reflects Thailand’s close relationship with nature and everyday abundance, blending traditional reverence for natural resources with contemporary practices focused on comfort, balance, and sensory enjoyment.

Our Coconut Incense is hand rolled by our lovely small scale fair trade producers in Thailand. They have a large garden where they grow their own coconuts which they harvest and dry in the sun before rolling them into a fine powder. They then get a fine stick of bamboo which they roll in a little natural gum to make it sticky then roll it in the coconut powder.

Because our incense is entirely natural you get a beautiful scent unlike many of the commercial incenses which merely spray their incense sticks with perfume which smells great in the packet but not so good when it burns!

Our Coconut incense comes in a pack containing  8 high quality incense sticks, each stick measures 6 inches / 15 cm and will burn for 15 - 20 mins in a still room.
