Orchid incense draws inspiration from the diverse orchid species native to Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, where orchids are a national symbol of beauty, refinement, and hospitality. While orchids themselves produce only subtle fragrance, incense makers recreate their delicate, slightly sweet and powdery scent using blended essential oils and aromatic compounds. Historically, floral incense in the region has been used in religious and royal settings, with orchids representing elegance and respect.

In Thai culture, orchid incense is often used in temples during offerings to the Buddha, as well as in homes for daily worship and meditation. Its gentle aroma is thought to encourage calmness, clarity, and emotional balance. Orchids are also strongly associated with welcoming guests, so their scent is frequently used in spas, hotels, and ceremonial spaces to create a serene and inviting atmosphere. Our Orchid Incense is hand rolled by our lovely small scale fair trade producers in Thailand. They have a large garden where they grow their own flowers which they harvest and dry in the sun before rolling them into a fine powder. They then get a fine stick of bamboo which they roll in a little natural gum to make it sticky then roll it in the Orchid powder.

Because our incense is entirely natural you get a beautiful scent unlike many of the commercial incenses which merely spray their incense sticks with perfume which smells great in the packet but not so good when it burns!

Our Orchid incense comes in a pack containing  8 high quality incense sticks, each stick measures 6 inches / 15 cm and will burn for 15 - 20 mins in a still room.
