Our stunning Pink Rajasthani Wall Hanging was bought from a merchant in Jaisalmer, a walled medieval city, deep in the Great Thar Desert of Western Rajasthan back in 1996 on one of our first buying trips in this region.

The wall hanging is a mosaic of traditional hand embroidered pieces, it is believed that the pieces were embroidered by Hindu women in the Barmer Area of Western Rajasthan bordering Pakistan in the 1980's. Hindu embroidery traditionally depicts flowers, animals and scenes from village life.

Our hanging depicts some beautifully embroidered flowers. and it is a unique genuine work of art , contemporary pieces are of a far lower quality. This piece was made for love whereas contemporary pieces are made for profit.

Our Beautiful Pink Rajasthani Wall Hanging measures 47 cm by 85 cm and has a black cotton border.
