Dok Mok incense is inspired by the delicate white blossoms of the Wrightia religiosa, known in Thailand as ดอกโมก (dok mok). Native to Southeast Asia, this flower has long been associated with purity, humility, and quiet beauty. Its gentle, jasmine-like fragrance makes it a natural influence for traditional incense blending, where artisans recreate its soft floral scent using a mix of aromatic oils, resins, and plant-based materials. Historically, such floral incenses have been part of Thai spiritual and domestic life for centuries.

In Thai culture, dok mok incense is commonly used in religious rituals, particularly in offerings to the Buddha and during merit-making ceremonies. Its light, calming aroma is believed to support mindfulness and inner peace, making it suitable for meditation and prayer. The dok mok flower itself is often planted near temples and homes, reinforcing its connection to serenity and spiritual reflection. As incense, it reflects Thai values of simplicity, reverence, and harmony with nature.

Our Dok Moke Incense is hand rolled by our lovely small scale fair trade producers in Thailand. They have a large garden where they grow their own flowers which they harvest and dry in the sun before rolling them into a fine powder. They then get a fine stick of bamboo which they roll in a little natural gum to make it sticky then roll it in the Dok Moke powder.

Because our incense is entirely natural you get a beautiful scent unlike many of the commercial incenses which merely spray their incense sticks with perfume which smells great in the packet but not so good when it burns!

Our Dok Moke incense comes in a pack containing  8 high quality incense sticks, each stick measures 6 inches / 15 cm and will burn for 15 - 20 mins in a still room.
