Our colourful Thunder Drums make an enormous clap of thunder when you shake them. To get a realistic thunder sound start gently and gradually increase your shake to get the full roar! We sell many to theatre groups who need a realistic thunder sound effect and many more to people who just enjoy playing with them.
They are handmade in Bali by our lovely fair trade instrument makers. They are made from a 7.5cm ( 3") diameter hand painted cardboard tube with a plastic membrane over one end. A 32cm ( 12.5") spring is attached to the membrane. Warning; do not pull the spring or you will damage the drum.
They are a great instrument for children or anybody who wants to join in a Jam, they require no previous musical knowledge!
